As I was finishing my first formatting pass on Modos 2 deluxe, I was watching gameplay from Horizon: Zero Dawn in the background. (I would be playing it, but I don’t have a PS4.) The unique setting has both ancient and future elements: primitive living, superstition, augmented reality, and autonomous robots. Heck, it even has modern elements, like mini-guns and modern vernacular.
Of course, all I can think is, “this would be such a great setting for Modos 2.” A rules module for the game might include an archery subsystem and additional combat rules for catching and using the “animals” in the game. Plus, the character menu seems to have some intricate development trees involved, so it wouldn’t hurt to line up perks and/or attributes in a particular order for PCs to use for progression.
Anyway, if I can pick out a decent typeface and get my bullet lists to agree with each other, I’ll be drawing and buying art for the deluxe version in the weeks to come.
