Online school does not leave much freetime for working on RPG stuff but…
In honor of Thanksgiving’s fallen heroes, here’s an NPC who should cast fear (no, not the Power) into the hearts of all musket-wielders who oppose him: the javelin-warrior.
Okay, if you’re into metagame play, you can make a warrior who actually does cast fear. The Power represents his ability to channel his spirit into overcoming a single foe’s bravery, regardless of what the foe actually thinks of him. Just assign one Armed skill point to Magic (Fear 1) instead. This warrior can use Fear twice in battle, if he doesn’t mind fighting with zero MP health afterward.
Javelin-Warrior, level 2 (professional)
This warrior has advanced skills in low-technology battle, using technique instead of armor to crush skulls. The warrior softens up opponents by throwing her javelin first, then smashing with her axe. She parries if it will leave an opponent open to a counterattack, or if she needs to defend while a healer/shaman reaches her.
Physical 14, Mental 8, Metaphysical 10
Skills: armed + 4 (2), parry + 4 (0)
Perks: tough (max P 18), off the mark
Gear: javelin d6, battle axe d8, small shield (+2 parry)
